Practice
Daily practice is essential to make good progress. It’s helpful if students practice at the same time each day, thereby making practice a part of their everyday routine. Students are expected to practice daily equal to, or greater than, the amount of time spent with the teacher. For younger beginners, it may be divided into multiple 10-15 minute sessions.
Parental Involvement
Parents are always welcome in the lessons. Especially, younger students need to have a parent observe their lessons, and supervise daily practice. Please check your child’s assignment notebook/ lesson book weekly for assignment details. Parents can help their child build good practice habit by making sure students establish a regular practice time. As your child progresses and matures, less parental involvement will be needed.

Weekly 30 minute lessons: $40

Monthly tuition is due by the first lesson of the month. *Semi-private lessons are available when you enroll two friends or siblings together.
Cancellations / Makeup Lessons
No refund will be made for missed lessons. If a student is unable to attend a lesson in the event of illness, emergency, or inclement weather, a makeup lesson will be arranged. All other student absences due to reasons such as family vacation, schedule conflicts, etc. will be made up upon my availability (not guaranteed). No-shows or same-day cancellation will not be made up. If an unexpected conflict arises with your lesson time, please contact me to discuss alternate arrangements at least a week ahead. Any lesson that I have to cancel will be made up or a credit will be given. Lessons missed without notice will not be made up.
Recitals
The Spring Recital is typically scheduled in the last week of May to provide an opportunity for students to share their music with others. Students are encouraged to participate in additional recitals and competitions.
